Who am I?

If I knew that answer, life would be a hell of a lot easier!

Ok, so I can tell you the basics. I'm a 20-something year-old who is just trying to figure it all out [spoiler alert: not there yet!].

I'm sarcastic, sassy, (usually) classy (see what I did there?)...and sometimes, an emotional wreck. Other times, I'm channeling Demi Lovato's "Confident" and strutting my stuff around town/the world/my small studio kitchen.

I moved to Boston right after graduating college solely for the purpose of employment. That's right - I literally gave NO thought to whether I even wanted to live here, but was offered a job and said "Job? Good. Need that. I'll take it!". Lucky for me, it turned out to be a pretty good fit, and after nearly 5 years, I now consider Boston my home.

I  work in data analytics for an insurance company and am attending graduate school part time at night. I still have no idea where I want my career to go ("career"? I've been working full-time for almost 5 years now, and that word still seems so foreign to me!).  That said, I have a passion for math and problem-solving, but also a desire to somehow 'help others'...so if I can one day somehow find a way to tie the two together, that would be ideal.

Outside of work/being a bit of a math nerd, I love to live a very active lifestyle.  I've always played various different sports, and as I've grown older, fell in love with long-distance running.  Unfortunately this love for running has been accompanied by countless injuries over the last few years - but I'm not ready to give it up yet!

My antsy personality extends far beyond the gym, as I've unleashed a growing passion for travelling over the last few years.  I've made a vow to myself that I would not pass up an opportunity to travel, and as a result have made trips to London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Ireland, Morocco, Greece in just the last couple years.  Jumping on a plane or train - even if just to visit New York City for the weekend - is one of my favorite tactics for coping with life's tough times.  And when travel isn't an option, I often turn to music and dancing to turn around a rough day.

Reading the various posts on this blog will probably tell you far more about who I am than just a short one-page blurb.  I hope to encompass all the various categories of my life in my posts - from fitness and nutrition; travel; everyday life of a 20-year old in the city; music; and mental health.   So take a look around and explore the rest of the site!
